Solána Rowe, better known by her stage name SZA (pronounced “sizza”), is an American singer-songwriter from New Jersey. SZA rose to fame in 2014 with her debut studio album, CTRL. This critically acclaimed album put SZA on the map and earned her five Grammy nominations for “Best New Artist,” “Best Urban Contemporary Album,” and others.

SZA’s music is an eclectic blend of soul, R&B, hip-hop, and alternative, with her powerful voice at the forefront. Her musical style has been described as “a mix between jazz singer Erykah Badu, rapper Kendrick Lamar and singer/songwriter Lorde.”
